02.06.2010–02.06.2010

Workshop as part of the art project Desconocida Unknown Ukjent; politicized embroidery as a protest against abuse on women.
The art project Desconocida Unknown Ukjent by artist Lise Bjørne Linnert is a political project related to abuse against women, where people globally show solidarity and protest by embroidering nametags.
So far 2200 people have participated from all corners of the globe.
Welcome to Trøndelag Centre for Contemporary Art (TSSK)
Wednesday 2. May 2010,4pm – 6pm
The workshop lasts 2 hours. The award-winning documentary Missing young women by Lourdes Portillo will be shown whilst the participants embroider names onto small nametags. These names are the names of women who have been killed or have disappeared. The nametags will follow the art project. During the workshop, there will be a dialogue between the participants, the artist and the curator of the exhibition. No previous knowledge about embroidery is required.
Desconocida Unknown Ukjent is part of the exhibition REALITY CHECK  14 May-6 June 2010 at TSSK.
